Tidbits

A few people in the office have observed a similarity between a Duke employee and Dr. Niles Crane from the TV show Frasier. If you have a guess or would like to know who it is, please contact me directly. This further builds on one of my previous pseudonym creations. I renamed a former employee to Lilith, Frasier’s ex-wife.

Speaking of monotonous voices, I couldn’t stop laughing yesterday after I heard a particular Duke Professor describe a conference as “very exciting”. Also, please inquire directly if you would like to know the details.

Tidbits

I saw the movie Dreamgirls. It was ok, but nothing great. Eddie Murphy did a good job. They had a reference to the Jackson 5 which I thought was great.

Janelle hosted a game night. It was fun. I didn’t get a chance to play Scene It. “Apples to Apples” was a good one. Cranium I had played before. Scrabble went on. I made chocolate chip cookies.

Zach, Alyssa, Matt, and Paul came over to watch the game. I made chicken parmigiana whose leftovers have formed the basis for lunches a couple two days. I also made brownies from the Taunton cookbook I bought at Costco.

Tom and Vito had a potluck this weekend. Good call.
